CAAV Director General Visits Bamboo Airways Headquarters for Lunar New Year

Amid the urgent and vibrant operations of the Bính Ngọ Lunar New Year peak season, on the afternoon of February 9, 2026, Bamboo Airways had the honor of welcoming a leadership delegation from the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, led by Director General Uông Việt Dũng, for a Lunar New Year visit and greetings at the airline’s headquarters.

On the occasion of the New Year, Director General Uông Việt Dũng, on behalf of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, extended his New Year wishes to all Bamboo Airways employees and their families, expressing his hope that in 2026 the airline will operate efficiently and continue contributing positively to the overall development of the aviation industry.

Recognizing Bamboo Airways’ efforts in maintaining stable operations, particularly in preparing resources for the Tet peak season, Director General Uông Việt Dũng emphasized that the airline must continue to prioritize operational safety, uphold a professional image, strengthen operational discipline, and proactively implement contingency plans to minimize delays and cancellations while safeguarding passengers’ rights and interests.

Reflecting on Bamboo Airways’ formation and development during the 2018–2021 period, the Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam noted that the airline created a distinctive mark in Vietnam’s aviation market. Bamboo Airways has not only provided passengers with more travel options but has also contributed to raising service standards, enhancing customer experience, and fostering healthy competition across the industry.

Mr. Uông Việt Dũng expressed his expectation that in the new phase, under the leadership of Mr. Trịnh Văn Quyết and the Executive Board, Bamboo Airways will restructure the airline with a clear strategy, expand its fleet, focus on service quality and outstanding customer experience, and contribute positively to elevating Vietnam’s aviation service ecosystem.

At the same time, the Director General acknowledged the contributions of Mr. Trịnh Văn Quyết — the founder and the individual currently leading the restructuring of Bamboo Airways — for his dedication to building a high-quality, professional, and sustainable Vietnamese airline.

Mr. Trịnh Văn Quyết and Bamboo Airways’ Board of Directors expressed their sincere appreciation for the attention, recognition, close guidance, and continued support from the leadership of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam throughout the years.

Bamboo Airways’ Executive Board reaffirmed its strong commitment to making every effort during the Tet peak season to ensure absolute safety, maintain high on-time performance, and enhance passenger service quality during this critical period for the aviation sector.
