Dangerous items

For your flight security, please refer to the regulations of the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam on the list of dangerous items prohibited in restricted areas on the aircraft and on the list of dangerous items restricted from carrying aboard aircraft as personal items or in carry-on baggage. 

I. PROHIBITED ITEMS IN RESTRICTED AREAS AND IN THE CABIN OF AN AIRCRAFT

  • Chemicals that cause any hazard to life or property whether or not classified as Dangerous Goods 

OBJECTS WITH SHARP BLADES OR POINTS AND LAUNCHING (SHOOTING) DEVICES THAT CAN BE USED TO CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY

The mobility aid can then be transported as a checked luggage without any restriction. 

c) The mobility aid must be transported in a manner that prevents collision with other cargo or luggage: 

d) Pilot in command must be informed about the location of the mobility aid with its battery attached or the location of the battery package. 

e) Passengers are recommended to contact aircraft operators in advance before loading the battery and place non-spill cap inside.

vi) May transport 01 spare battery no stronger than 300 Wh or 02 spare batteries no stronger than 160 Wh each; 

e) Pilot in command must be informed about the location of spare lithium-ion batteries. 

f) Passengers are recommended to contact aircraft operators in advance before transporting the batteries.

d) Each fuel cell or fuel cell cartridge shall comply with IEC 62282-6-100 Ed.1, including Amendment 1, and shall bear a manufacturer’s indication of certification that the battery is compliant. conforms to the IEC 62282-6-100 Ed.1 specification, including Amendment 1. In addition, each fuel cell cartridge indicates the maximum weight and type of fuel used; 

e) Fuel cell box containing hydrogen in metal hydrides must satisfy requirements of A162 Special Provisions; 

f) Each passenger is limited to no more than 2 fuel cell boxes. 

g) Fuel cell containing fuel must be transported via carry-on luggage. 

h) The interaction between the fuel cell and the battery integrated in the device must comply with IEC 62282-6-100 Ed.1, including 1st amendment. Fuel cells with a charging battery function in the device are not permitted (The fuel cells are only used to charge the battery in the device; The fuel cell can charge the battery in the device when not in use

i) the fuel cell must be of the non-rechargeable type when the portable electronic device is not in use and must be confirmed by the manufacturer as follows: “APPROVED FOR CARRIAGE IN AIRCRAFT CABIN ONLY”; and, 

j) The above markings should be in English in addition to the language of the departure Country.

1. When following procedures for transportation acceptance, aircraft operators shall detect, interfere and eliminate dangerous items not specified in these lists or banned or restricted according to these lists. 

2. If the aircraft operators specify otherwise relative to provisions of these lists, inform passengers and aviation security forces for coordinated implementation. 3. If the aviation security forces detect dangerous items during examination and aviation security screening, inform representatives of the aircraft operators to decide on the transportation as per the law.

IV. THESE REGULATIONS ARE NOT APPLICABLE IN THE FOLLOWING CASES
  • The carriage and usage of weapons, supporting tools, equipment of the People’s Public Security, the People’s Army and Aviation Security Force to perform their duties shall be complied with the Law on Management and Use of weapons, explosives and supporting tools 

  • Dangerous items including but not limited as instrument, tool, fuel, material, etc. used for serving civil aviation operations, non-aeronautical services, repairing, construc- tion, medical works etc. in the security restricted area have to be listed by the organizations who used these dangerous items. The taking and using these dangerous items have to comply with Article 33 of Circular No. 13/2019/TT-BGTVT dated March 29th, 2019 revised by the Circular No. 41/2020/TT-BGTVT dated December 31st, 2020
