Bamboo Airways celebrates the inaugural flight on Hanoi – Taipei route

On 20/12, at the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, Bamboo Airways officially launched the regular flight Hanoi – Taipei (Taiwan, China).

The event welcomed the presence of Mr. Tran Van Thuy –  Vietnam Economic and Cultural office in Taipei, Mr. Truong Phuong Thanh – Deputy General Director of Bamboo Airways, Mr. Eric Wu – Vice President of Tourism Agents Commitee in Taipei, Mr. Alex Chang – President of Bamboo Airways’ General Sales Agent in Taiwan, other managers, corporate partners and international media press, etc.

The flight QH511 of Bamboo Airways departed from Taiwan Taoyuan international airport at 21:40 (Taiwan time) and arrived at Noi Bai international airport at 0:25 on the early morning of 21/12. Passengers were given the meaningful gifts from Bamboo Airways.

For this flight route, Bamboo Airways will conduct 7 round-trip flights/ week. It takes 3 hours and 30 minutes to fly to Taipei from Hanoi; 3 hours and 45 minutes to fly to Hanoi from Taipei.

Bamboo Airways’ Hanoi – Taipei flights use the modern A321neo aircraft, serving the increasing demand from 10,000 monthly passengers between two regions.  Tickets of Hanoi – Taipei route are now available on Bamboo Airways website and sales agents.

Hanoi – Taipei is Bamboo Airways’ third international flight route which will be put in operation in 2019. This route helps fulfill the flight network of Bamboo Airways. Total number of Bamboo Airways domestic and international flight routes is now 34, and is expected to increase to 40 in 2019.

At the same time with planning for international flights, Bamboo Airways also emphasizes on expanding the fleet. On 09/12, Bamboo Airways fleet welcomed its first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner in the United States. Bamboo Airways will have operated 4 wide-body aircrafts, increasing the fleet to 30 until January of 2020.
