Bamboo Airways Simultaneously Opened Three Routes from Hanoi to Dalat, Pleiku and Can Tho from March 10.

On March 10, Bamboo Airways officially opened 3 new routes connecting Hanoi to Pleiku, Hanoi to Dalat, Hanoi to Can Tho, with the frequency of 1 flight/day/route.

At the Ceremony of opening 3 new routes held in Can Tho on March 10, Deputy General Director of Bamboo Airways Duong Thi Mai Hoa said: “With the new routes, we hope to accompany the city and Southeast region in the process of growing and maximizing the capacity of Can Tho airport, meeting the increasing travel demand. With FLC Group’s tourism products in Can Tho and Bamboo Airways’ new air routes, we aim to build the tourism infrastructure catering all needs of customers including accommodation, transportation needs, thus exploiting tourism, economic and commercial potential of Can Tho and Mekong Delta,”
Tickets have been available for purchase online on bambooairways.com and the Airline’s ticket offices nationwide from March 4, 2019, offering more options for Northern passengers to visit famous destinations such as Can Tho with mesmerizing rice fields, Dalat with breathtaking scenery and Pleiku with majestic highlands.
Speaking at the Ceremony, Director of Can Tho Department of Transport Le Tien Dung, on behalf of the city, emphasized: “Not only will the new route linking Hanoi and Can Tho better meet the people’s needs but also strongly promote investment, tourism, contributing to the efficient exploitation of Can Tho’s potential land with valuable resources and Can Tho’s airport. For this reason, we highly appreciate the Airline’s promise of providing high quality service on every flight and its support to diversify transportation options, fulfilling the travel needs of Mekong Delta’s residents,”.
He also expressed the desire to conduct market research with the purpose of opening additional new routes connecting Can Tho with more domestic and international destinations.
After the first flight taking off on January 16, Bamboo Airways is accelerating the speed of expanding its network, aiming at operating 20 routes in Quarter I/2019. In addition, more routes will be opened, linking Hanoi and HCMC with Quy Nhon, Nha Trang, Da Nang, Dong Hoi, Phu Quoc, Buon Me Thuot and Vinh, etc.

Accelerate the speed of opening international routes
Bamboo Airways has set a target of increasing the flight frequency to 100 flights/day, serving 5 million passengers, accessing most of the domestic airports in Vietnamin 2019. Plan for the operation of international flights to Singapore, Japan and South Korea will be conducted in April and May, 2019. Direct flight to the US is expected to be launched by the end of 2019 or early 2020 as the latest, in cooperation with Boeing – a partner of Bamboo Airways.
To implement this plan, during the week of DPRK – USA Summit in Hanoi, Bamboo Airways signed an agreement to buy 10 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner wide-body aircraft, worth nearly USD3 billion, under the witness of General Secretary – President of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong and US President Donald Trump. The Carrier’s fleet is expected to consist of 30 wide-body Boeing 787 Dreamliner and a substantial number of Boeing aircraft delivered from QIII/2020. In 2019, the Carrier will receive 30 new aircraft, raising the total number to 40 – 50 aircraft in the fleet.
