4. Covid-19 Test Requirements

Not required. However, four (04) rapid test kits will be given to arriving travelers aged 2 and older by workers at international airports/ports upon arrival. When to use rapid tests:

  • On the day of arrival or the first day of the self-initiated prevention period (D0/D1).
  • Arriving travelers should take a rapid test and produce a negative result within two days before going out during the self-initiated prevention period.
  • Symptoms develop during this period.
  • The test results will not be recorded. Arriving travelers should follow the Self-initiated Prevention Guidelines if they test positive with a rapid test.

5. Quarantine Requirements

Not required. However, a seven-day period of self-initiated prevention will be required.

– All passengers, fully vaccinated and not fully vaccinated,have to present a valid visa or an approved Korea Electronic Travel Authorization (K-ETA). Applications are to be submitted using the K-ETA website. Travelers must apply for the K-ETA at least 72 hours prior to boarding a flight or ship bound for Korea.

  • Requirements for a valid vaccination certificate (3 doses): Vaccination certificates are valid only if they meet the following requirements:
    • The certificate must be issued by a government or public institution.

2. Forms and Applications

– All passengers, fully vaccinated and not fully vaccinated, have to complete the Questionnaire, also available on the Fast Track portal, before departure or on arrival. More details can be found at the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.

– Passengers may now pre-register via Fast Track for airport quarantine procedures using the Visit Japan website. They can pre-register the COVID-19 test certificate or the Vaccine Certificate, and the Questionnaire, to complete the arrival procedure smoothly at Japanese airports. More information can be found on the Fast Track portal.

3. Health Insurance

Not required. Medical expenses in Japan may be high. Travelers are recommended to have travel insurance covering possible emergencies or hospital care.

4. Covid-19 Test Requirements

4.1. Before arrival

a) Fully vaccinated passengers

  • Fully vaccinated passengers do not have to present a negative COVID-19 test result.
  • Passengers must present proof of vaccination showing 3 doses. Passengers must ensure that they meet the requirements to be considered fully vaccinated.

b) NOT vaccinated/ NOT fully vaccinated passengers

All not vaccinated and not fully vaccinated passengers have to submit a certificate with a negative COVID-19 test result.

– Test types accepted:

  • Test Method: Nasopharyngeal(swab/smear), nasopharyngeal (NP) and oropharyngeal (OP) Rhinopharyngeal (swab, smear), Nasal swab, saliva.
  • Test Type: PCR, LAMP, NEAR, RT-PCR, Next Generation Sequence, quantitative antigen (CLEIA/ECLEIA), Smart Amp, TMA or TRC test.

– Test window: Taken at most 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point.

– Languages accepted: English or Japanese.

4.2. Upon arrival

Passengers suspected of COVID-19 infection are tested upon arrival, and have to undergo quarantine at a designated facility if tested positive.

– If a passenger does not have either of the following documents, BAV shall refuse boarding of that passenger:

  • The blue screen on the personal device indicating that the registration and screening of either a valid vaccination certificate (3 doses) or a valid pre-departure test certificate have been completed through the use of “Fast Track” service; or
  • A valid vaccination certificate (3 doses); or
  • A valid pre-departure test certificate.

– If a passenger arrived Narita airport (Tokyo) without a valid vaccination certificate (3 doses) or a valid pre-departure test certificate, passenger will be quarantine for 3 nights at hotel. Passenger will be responsible to pay hotel, transportation and 2 times PCR checks. The estimation cost will be JPY 100,000 per passenger.

2. Forms and Applications

– All passengers, fully vaccinated and not fully vaccinated, must submit an electronic health declarationform 3 days prior to the date of arrival in Singapore via the SG Arrival Card (SGAC) e-Service or via the mobile application. This does not apply to passengers connecting through Singapore.

3. Health Insurance

– Not fully vaccinated short-term visitors aged 13 and above must have travel insurance for their COVID-19-related medical treatment and hospitalization costs in Singapore, with a minimum coverage of $30,000.

4. Covid-19 Test Requirements

4.1. Fully vaccinated passengers

4.2. NOT vaccinated/NOT fully vaccinated passengers

Option 1: Negative test result 

  • Test type accepted: PCR or antigen
  • Time window: within 2 days before departure.
  • Applicable age: Travelers 13 years and older.
  • Languages accepted: English or any other language accompanied by an English translation.
  • All other COVID-19 tests must be taken at an internationally accredited or recognized lab/clinic/medical facility and must include: The date the test was taken; The passenger’s name; The date of birth or passport number.

Option 2: Medical proof of prior COVID-19 infection

  • Test result: positive PCR or antigen test result.
  • Time window: the test must be carried out more than 14 days and less than 90 days before the flight.
  • Applicable age: Travelers 13 years and older.
  • Languages accepted: English or any other language accompanied by an English translation.

1. Entry Requirements

Here is who can travel to China right now:

  • Chinese citizens.
  • Foreign nationals with a valid visa issued outside the Mainland of China after 28 March 2020.
  • Foreign nationals with a permanent residence permit
  • Foreign nationals with diplomatic, service, courtesy, or C visas.
  • Foreigners holding valid APEC business travel cards (Virtual ABTC excepted) are allowed to enter China with the associated passport.
  • Foreign students holding valid Chinese study residence permits.
  • Passengers with a residence permit issued by China for work, personal matters, study and reunion purposes.

2. Forms and Applications

– All passengers (Chinese and foreign nationals) must complete the China Customs Health Declaration. Printed forms will not be accepted.

  • For Chinese nationals: apply for a Health Code through mini WeChat program or access the following link https://hrhk.cs.mfa.gov.cn/H5/. Passengers will receive a health certificate code with the caption “HS” after being approved by the Chinese Consulate.
  • Foreign nationals: apply for a Health Code by visiting the website http://hrhk.cs.mfa.gov.cn/H5/. Passengers will receive a health certificate code with the caption “HDC” after being approved by the Chinese Consulate.

Note: The above visa requirements apply only to passengers departing from Vietnam. Passengers transiting from Vietnam to China must collect information from the Chinese Embassy where the passenger is residing to prepare the required travel documents.

4. Covid-19 Test Requirements

4.1. Before departure

  • Passengers directly departing from Vietnam to China are required to take one PCR test in a legal medical institution recognized by the Vietnamese Ministry of Health within 48 hours before boarding. The health code application should be submitted to the Chinese Embassy/Consulates in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City or Da Nang according to where the medical institution is located (for more information, see Annex 1).
  • Passengers transit in or from Vietnam to China are required to take one PCR test in either the country of origin or the country of transfer within 48 hours before the departure of the final direct flight to China. The health code application should be submitted to the Chinese Embassy/Consulates according to where the medical institution is located.
  • Passengers who have a COVID-19 infection record, show symptoms or are confirmed as close contact can apply for the health code as is required above with no additional requirements applicable.

4.2. Upon arrival

All overseas passengers are subject to health checks on arrival at their first point of entry (likely involving nucleic acid or swab tests). Those failing health checks may be sent to a designated hospital for treatment.

5. Quarantine Requirements

All passengers, fully vaccinated and not fully vaccinated, have to quarantine upon arrival:

  • Quarantine duration:8 days (quarantine must comply at the first point of entry)
  • Passengers have to undergo quarantine at a government-selected facility or hotel for 5 days and remain at home/accommodation for the rest of the quarantine period (3 days).
