Construction of Bamboo Airways Aviation Academy Was Officially Commenced

Bamboo Airways Aviation Academy is expected to become a leading training center for aviation personnel in Vietnam, applying modern education administration model, complying with the highest training standards  from CAAV, EASA, FAA, IATA, etc.

On July 28, at the planning area of ​​the Human Resources Research and Training Center of the Core Zone of Nhon Hoi Eco-tourism Urban Zone, Bamboo Airways held the Groundbreaking Ceremony of Bamboo Airways Aviation Academy.

Bamboo Airways Aviation Academy has a scale of 10 hectares, with the total investment of nearly VND 700 billion (more than USD 30 million) for the establishment and development phase. It is expected that after being completed and put into operation in 2022, the Academy will train nearly 3,500 students each year, focusing on professional fields such as: Pilots, Flight Attendants, Aviation Technology, Ground Operations, Flight Operations and basic training functions, etc.

Raise the value of FLC-branded products

Speaking at the event, Mr. Ho Quoc Dung – Deputy Secretary and Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee said that the construction of Bamboo Airways Aviation Academy will bring Binh Dinh a high-quality training center for aviation industry’s personnel, creating favorable conditions for the province to develop the network of education institutions, and contributing to increasing the competition of the province’s economy.

Along with with the operation of FLC Quy Nhon Beach & Golf Resort and Bamboo Airways Headquarters at Phu Cat – Binh Dinh Airport, Bamboo Airways Aviation Academy will strengthen the value-added chain of FLC and Bamboo Airways’ products, thereby contributing positively to the socio-economic development of Binh Dinh province.

Aviation personnel are trained according to international standards

With the goal of becoming a leading training center for aviation personnel in Vietnam, Bamboo Airways Aviation Academy plans to cooperate with prestigious domestic and foreign universities to strengthen and improve teaching quality.

In the  Groundbreaking Ceremony, Bamboo Airways signed a MoU for cooperation in aviation training development with New Zealand Aviation – one of the most prestigious academies in Australia where air travel industry is extremely developed  to train pilots meeting international standards

In addition, Bamboo Airways also signed a MoU for cooperation in aviation training and development with the University of Technology – Hanoi National University, aiming to improve the quality of personnel training and help students of National University to approach Bamboo Airways’ job opportunities as well as strengthen scientific research cooperation between the two parties.

In addition, the Aviation Academy will cooperate with FLC University to conduct specialized training such as transport administration, international aviation operations, airport administration and flight operations, marketing management and aviation advertisement; to associate with the world’s largest aircraft manufacturers such as Boeing, Airbus, etc. to train personnel in the aviation industry.

Professional and modern learning environment

With the goal of becoming an aviation academy that meets international standard, Bamboo Airways Aviation Academy is built synchronously and modernly also with the aimof saving energy and protecting the environment. Project planning includes lecture halls, administrative areas, practice workshops, libraries, student dormitories and ancillary facilities. The academy has a low construction density, using a lot of area for landscaping and gardening to create a green space in Nhon Hoi eco-tourism urban zone.

In particular, all the landscape and interior design of the school are built to guarantee learner-centered education.  The lecture hall with a scale of up to 2 hectares with 30-150 seat classrooms is designed to be flexible and highly interactive; applying modern technology to serve teaching.

The Academy focuses on investing in e-learning systems, electronic libraries, flying practice centers, technology rooms, science and technology museums which meet the international standards.

In particular, Bamboo Airways Aviation Library is a key project of the Academy with modern 3-storey design, applying the latest technologies in library science and managing information and materials, storing a large amount of study and research materials.

Bamboo Airways Aviation Academy in Binh Dinh is the first large-scale project deployed in the chain of training facilities that Bamboo Airways is planning which are expected to be located in Quang Ninh, Hai Phong and Vinh Phuc.
