Bamboo Airways Signed Memorandum of Cooperation on Developing HCMC’s Tourism through Air-transport

Through the cooperation on tourism and aviation development between Bamboo Airways and Ho Chi Minh city’s Department of Tourism, Bamboo Airways hopes to contribute to the growth of the city and Vietnam’s tourism.

On September 6, 2019, in HCMC’s International Tourism Fair, Bamboo Airways and HCMC’s Department of Tourism signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on tourism and aviation development from 2019 to 2021, witnessed by Deputy Director General of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Ha Van Sieu, Director of HCMC’s Department of Tourism Bui Ta Hoang Vu and other leaders.

Bamboo Airways will coordinate with HCMC’s Department of Tourism in achieving important goals including: improving brand identity, developing tourism and its products, promoting tourist destinations in HCMC and other local destinations of Vietnam and HCMC on the mass media, welcoming Vietnamese and foreign delegations and travel agents to the key and potential markets of HCMC.

The Memorandum is expected to exploit the strengths of each party, help develop Vietnamese tourism, maximize advantages of HCMC, develop workforce, facilitate air-passenger flow to the city, thus accelerating market growth.

Speaking in the Event, HCMC’s Department of Tourism Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa said that the city will work closely with Bamboo Airways for the regular information exchange of the development plan, market conditions, tours in order to provide customers with exciting and appealing tourism products.

The partnership between the Carrier and HCMC’s Department of Tourism is within the Airline’s thorough plan of linking HCMC with famous tourist destinations across Vietnam and worldwide.

On September 1, the Carrier operated the first HCMC – Da Nang flight, catering more options of quality services for passengers. Bamboo Airways is operating 7 routes linking HCMC with major cities in Vietnam, contributing to attracting investment, which strengthens the connection of HCMC and other localities.

“The cooperation between Bamboo Airways and HCMC’s Department of Tourism is considered as a vital milestone in the growth of Vietnamese aviation and tourism. After this Event, the Department will become the strategic partner of Bamboo Airways in the provision of domestic and international flights’ details in the information centers in HCMC”, said Mr. Bui Quang Dung, Deputy General Director of Bamboo Airways.

Bamboo Airways celebrated its 1-Year Anniversary of Launch in August. The Airline has catered to its customers high quality services at reasonable prices. Bamboo Airways is exploiting 26 domestic and international routes to Japan, Korea, China, operating more than 10,000 safe flights with the on-time performance rate of 93.8% – the highest rate in the industry in the first 6 months of 2019, transporting over one million passengers and holding 7% of domestic market share after 6 months of operating its commercial flights.

Joining the International Travel Expo – ITE 2019 in HCMC, Bamboo Airways introduced a series of incentives for its customers, including thousands of reasonably-priced airline tickets together with many other attractive offers and combos.

In the Fair, from September 5, 2019 to September 7, 2019, Bamboo Airways offered thousands of airline tickets with the prices from only VND 299,000 (USD 13), applied on all routes from/to HCMC.

In addition, the Airline in cooperation with FLC Travel & Event (FTE) also brought to the Fair many fantastic travelling – flying combos. When registering to be the members of Bamboo Club, customers will also receive many other special offers.
